Prerequisites: For Level 1 You will need to over 18 years of age, have a good understanding of English and be happy to be needled on the practical day. In addition to this, for Level 2 you will need to have completed Level 1 or have previous needling skills.

Insurance: Prior to offering Auricular Acupuncture as a treatment you will need to add auricular acupuncture to your current therapist insurance, most providers offer this at a small additional cost.

Licensing: To practice acupuncture, you may need a license from your local council, some places are exempt from requiring a license, while others mandate it. Once qualified you should notify your local council of your new skill and take their advice on how to register, if required. Requirements and costs vary from council to council, so it’s best to reach out to your local council directly to get all the details you will need regarding this.
